Stop Light Switch: Removal

  1. Turn ignition off and disconnect battery negative lead.
  2. Remove lower fascia panel.
  3. Disconnect electrical connection to switch. See Fig 1 .
  4. Depressurize system.
  5. While depressing brake pedal, pull Red sleeve and Black plunger of switch FULLY forward. See Fig 1 .
    6. NOTE: If clips are difficult to release, check that Red sleeve is FULLY forward.
  6. Release switch retaining clips. See Fig 1 .
  7. Remove switch. See Fig 1 .
