Alternator Drive Belt
NOTE:
Check adjustment after running engine at fast idle speed for 3-5 minutes if a new belt has been installed.
- Loosen the alternator fittings and the adjustment link. See Fig 1
.
- Pivot the alternator to give the required belt tension.
- Belt tension should be 0.19-0.25" (4-6 mm) at the point indicated by the bold arrow. See Fig 1
.
- Tighten the alternator bolts and the adjustment link.
