On Vehicle Inspection

Inspect by the procedure below to see if the function of the ECM is normal.

1. After IG ON, using cloth cover the forward sensor.
2. It illuminates the rear sensor.
3. The ECM dims as soon as the rearward-facing sensor detects a certain level of brightness.
   NOTE: If this test is performed in daytime, the ECM may be darkened as soon as the forward facing sensor is covered.
4. In the reverse gear, the ECM should not dim.
5. ECM should not darken when light is illuminated on the front and rear sensors, respectively.
