Removal & Installation: Removal

Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
Open the cap and disconnect the alternator B terminal cable (A) after removing the nut.
Tightening torque:

18.6 - 24.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.5 kgf.m, 13.7 - 18.1 lb.ft)

Remove the alternator upper bolt (A).
Tightening torque:

49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 lb.ft)

Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "DRIVE BELT ")
Remove the compressor.
(Refer to Heating, Ventilation And Air Conditioning - "COMPRESSOR ")
Disconnect the alternator connector (A).

Separate the alternator wiring (A) after removing the clip (B).

Remove the alternator (A) after removing lower bolt.
Tightening torque:

49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 lb.ft)
