On Vehicle Inspection

Information 

Perform the repair procedure below.

1. Check the starting system by cranking in the "P" position
2. Check the starting system by cranking after inspecting the starter relay.

   (Refer to Starting System - "STARTER RELAY ")

   NOTE: Replace the starter when the pinion gear cannot separate from the ring gear, although the ignition switch have been back from "START" to "ON"
3. Check the starting system by cranking after inspecting the battery condition.

   (Refer to Charging System - "BATTERY ")

   NOTE:

   • Battery terminal connection
   • Connection condition between the battery negative (-) cable and the body
4. Inspect the starter

   (Refer to Starting System - "STARTER ")

5. Inspect the starting system components and the wiring
