Repair Procedures: Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
    NOTE:
    • If the differential oil seal is damaged and ATF oil is leaking, replace the oil seal with a new one.
    • When installing a new oil seal, use the special tools.

      Housing side: 09430 - B8100
    • If the ATF is leaking, check the ATF level after refilling the automatic transaxle with fluid. (Refer to Hydraulic System - "FLUID ")
    • New automatic transaxle is already filled with the specified amount of ATF For this reason, it is not necessary to refill and check the ATF.
  2. After installing the transaxle, perform the procedure below.
    1. Refill the engine & transaxle cooling system radiator with coolant.

      (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "COOLANT ")

    2. Refill the hybrid cooling system with coolant and then perform the air bleeding using the KDS.

      (Refer to Hybrid Motor System - "COOLANT ")

    3. Perform the resolver sensor calibration using the KDS.

    4. Perform the engine clutch fluid pressure calibration using the KDS.

    5. Clear the diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) using the KDS. (Disconnecting the battery negative terminal will not clear the DTC.)
  3. If the automatic transaxle is replaced with a new one, perform the additional procedure below.
    1. Reset the automatic transaxle adaptive values using the KDS.

    2. Perform EOP control adaptation procedure using the KDS.

    3. Perform the oil pressure characteristics input procedure using the KDS.

    4. Perform the TCM adaptive values learning procedure.
