Removal And Installation

  1. Remove the front wheel and tire.

    (Refer to Tires/Wheels - "WHEEL ")

  2. Disconnect the front wheel speed sensor and brake hose bracket (A) by loosening the bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    12.7 - 16.7 N.m (1.3 - 1.7 kgf.m, 9.4 - 12.3 lb.ft)

  3. Disconnect the stabilizer link (A) from the front strut assembly by loosening the nut.

    Tightening torque: 

    98.1 - 117.7 N.m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 - 86.8 lb.ft)

    NOTE:
    • When loosening the nut, fix the outer hexagon of stabilizer bar link.
    • Be careful not to damage the stabilizer link boots.
  4. Loosen the front strut upper mounting nuts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    53.9 - 73.5 N.m (5.5 - 7.5 kgf.m, 39.8 - 54.2 lb.ft)

  5. Loosen the front strut mounting bolts and nuts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    196.1 - 215.7 N.m (20.0 - 22.0 kgf.m, 144.7 - 159.1 lb.ft)

  6. Remove the front strut assembly (A).

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  8. Check the wheel alignment.

    (Refer to Tires/Wheels - "ALIGNMENT ")
