Repair Procedures: Installation
- Install in the reverse order of removal.NOTE:
- If the differential oil seal is damaged and ATF oil is leaking, replace the oil seal with a new one.
- When installing a new oil seal, use the special tools.
Item SST Installer Handle 2WD 09453 - 3L240 09231 - H1100 AWD Case side: 09453 - 3L240 09231 - H1100 Housing side: 09430 - B8100 - If the ATF is leaking, check the ATF level after refilling the automatic transaxle with fluid.
(Refer to Hydraulic System - "FLUID ")
- New automatic transaxle is already filled with the specified amount of ATF For this reason, it is not necessary to refill and check the ATF.
- After installing the transaxle, perform the procedure below.
- Refill the engine & transaxle cooling system radiator with coolant.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "COOLANT ")
- Refill the hybrid cooling system with coolant and then perform the air bleeding using the KDS.
(Refer to Hybrid Motor System - "COOLANT ")
- Perform the resolver sensor calibration using the KDS.
- Perform the engine clutch fluid pressure calibration using the KDS.
- Clear the diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) using the KDS.
(Disconnecting the battery negative terminal will not clear the DTC.)
- Refill the engine & transaxle cooling system radiator with coolant.
- If the automatic transaxle is replaced with a new one, perform the additional procedure below.
- Reset the automatic transaxle adaptive values using the KDS.
- Perform EOP control adaptation procedure using the KDS.
- Perform the oil pressure characteristics input procedure using the KDS.
- Perform the TCM adaptive values learning procedure.

- Reset the automatic transaxle adaptive values using the KDS.
