Repair Procedures: Replacement

Remove the under cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
Remove the drain plug (A) and wait for over 10 minutes until the oil is drained enough and then reinstall the drain plug.
Tightening torque:

39.2 - 58.8 N.m (4.0 - 6.0 kgf.m, 28.9 - 43.4 lb.ft)

NOTE: The existing oil filler plug gasket must be replaced with a new one (do not reuse)
Fill the transfer with oil through the filler plug hole after removing the filler plug (A).
Recommended oil: Hypoid gear oil API GL - 5, SAE 75W/85 (SK HCT - 5 75W/85 or equivalent)

Capacity:

Smartstream G 2.5 GDi: 0.65 l (0.17 U.S.gal, 0.69 U.S.qt, 0.57 lmp, qt)

Smartstream G 2.5 T - GDi: 0.5 l (0.13 U.S.gal, 0.53 U.S.qt, 0.44 lmp, qt)

Install the filler plug (A).
Tightening torque:
