Repair Procedures: Removal

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECTS) - ITM 

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

   (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

2. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECTS) connector (A).

3. Remove the ECTS (B) after removing the fixing clip (A).

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECTS) - Water pump 

1. Remove the engine room under cover.

   (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")

2. Disconnect the ECTS connector (A).

3. Remove the ECTS (A) after removing the mounting bolt.

   Tightening torque: 

   9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECTS) - Cylinder block 

1. Remove the intake manifold.

   (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "INTAKE MANIFOLD ")

2. Remove the injector foam (A).

3. Disconnect the ECTS connector (A).

4. Remove the ECTS (A) after removing the mounting bolt.

   Tightening torque: 

   9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
