Repair Procedures: Replacement
- Remove the rear wheel and tire (A) from rear hub.
Tightening torque:
107.9 ~ 127.5 N.m (11.0 ~ 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 ~ 94.0 lb.ft)
CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the front wheel and tire (A). - Remove the rear caliper assembly.
(Refer to Brake System - "REAR DISC BRAKE ")
- Remove the parking brake cable.
(Refer to Brake System - "PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the rear Shock absorber bolt (A) and nut (B).
Tightening torque:
88.3 ~ 107.9 N.m (9.0 ~ 11.0 kgf.m, 65.1 ~ 79.6 lb-ft)
- Loosen the nut and remove the rear shock absorber.
- Loosen the bolt and nut and then remove the rear assist arm (A) from the rear axle.
- Use the special tools (09568-4A000) to remove the assist arm from the knuckle.
- Support the lower arm (A) with jack.
- Remove the bolt (A) from the rear upper arm.
Tightening torque:
137.2 ~ 156.9 N.m (14.0 ~ 16.0 kgf.m, 101.2 ~ 115.7 lb-ft)
- Remove the bolt (B) from the lower arm.
- Remove the wheel speed bracket bolt (A).
Tightening torque:
8.8 ~ 13.7 N.m (0.9 ~ 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 ~ 1.4 lb-ft)
- Loosen the bolt and remove the rear axle and trailing arm (A) on the vehicle body side member.
Tightening torque:
98.1 ~ 117.7 N.m (10.0 ~ 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 ~ 86.8 lb-ft)
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
Use the SST (09581-11000) when installing the brake caliper assembly.

- Check the rear alignment.
