Repair Procedures: Removal

Disconnect the negative battery (-) terminal.
Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to " Removal And Installation ")
Remove the drive belt tensioner.
(Refer to " Removal And Installation ")
Remove the return hose and pipe bracket bolts (A).
Tightening torque:

9.8 - 11.8 N m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb ft)

Disconnect the alternator "B" terminal (C) after disconnecting the compressor connector (A) and alternator connector (B).
Tightening torque:

18.6 - 25.4 N m (1.9 - 2.6 kgf m, 13.8 -18.8 lb ft)

Remove the alternator (A) after removing the mounting bolts.
Tightening torque:

29.5 - 41.1 N m (3.0 - 4.2 kgf m, 21.7 - 30.3 lb ft)
