DTC P2066-00: Fuel Level Sensor 'B' Performance: General Description
The ECM uses the fuel level values to calculate the expected fuel vapor pressure in the fuel system. Therefore, the fuel vapor pressure is an essential element for detecting the correct operation of the evaporative emission system. In addition, if the fuel level in the fuel tank is too high or too low, a reliable fuel vapor pressure cannot be obtained. Therefore, the ECM determines if the fuel level is within the range to accurately detect an abnormality in the evaporative emission system, using the value of the fuel level sensor.
