Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
    CAUTION: After disconnecting the cables, wait at least 3 minutes.
  2. Remove the front seat back cover.

    (Refer to " Replacement  ") 

  3. Remove the side airbag wiring (A) after loosening the side airbag wiring clips.

  4. Remove the side airbag (A) by loosening the nuts.

    Tightening torque: 

    5.8 - 7.8 N.m (0.6 - 0.8 kgf.m, 4.3 - 5.7 lb.ft, 52.0 - 69.4 lb.in)
