Removal And Installation

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the air duct.
  3. Disconnect the RCV control solenoid valve connector (A) and vapor hoses (B).
  4. Remove the RCV control solenoid valve (C) after loosening the mounting bolt.

    RCV control solenoid valve bracket mounting bolt: 

    9.8 - 11.8 Nm (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
  • If the RCV is dropped, it may cause internal damage. (Do not reuse)
  • Be careful not to get foreign matters into the valve hole.
