During production the cluster is coded with the production installed control units and communicates with these control units using CAN-BUS system. If the optional information is different when compared between memorized and optional information, a DTC is set. It is necessary to set the cluster variant code procedure using the KDS in order to synchronize the optional control units after the cluster has been replaced.
