Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Prior to replacing the 4WD ECU, check the 4WD ECU's clutch learning with the GDS tool.

    (Refer to 4WD ECU - "REPAIR PROCEDURES ")

  2. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  3. Remove the left side luggage side trim.

    (Refer to Body - "LUGGAGE SIDE TRIM ")

  4. Disconnect the connector (A).
  5. Loosen the nuts and then remove the 4WD ECU (B).

    Tightening Torque: 

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
