Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION:
  • Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
NOTE:
  • When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
  • Take care not to scratch the body surface.
  1. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the front door quadrant inner cover (A).

  2. Disconnect the outside rear view mirror connector (A).

  3. After loosening the mounting nuts, remove the outside rear view mirror (A).

    Tightening Torque: 

    6.9 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb-ft)

    Information 

    • When removing the nut (B), be sure to remove it using a spanner.
    • Remove the mirror assembly with pressing the upper and lower flanges (C) of temporary fixing clip.

  4. To install, reverse removal procedure.

    Information 

    • Make sure the connector is connected properly.
    • Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
