DTC Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Hyundai Kona. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

B1000-51 is set when either Cluster* does not conduct variant coding or it does out of sync with the vehicle's system specifications after the vehicle is assembled or Cluster* is replaced. When this occurs, Cluster* LCD will display "Coding Error".

Cluster* will determine the state of each module through CAN BUS. If the modules do not correspond the variant coding information, a DTC will set.

When the DTC appears, perform "Vehicle S/W Management" →"CLU Variant Coding" and arrange the vehicle's system specification settings. The DTC will be cleared when the programming completes properly.
