Front Disc Brake Pad

- Remove the front wheel and tire.
(Refer to Suspension System - "WHEEL ")
- Loosen the guide rod bolt (A) and then pivot the caliper body (B) up out of the way.
Tightening torque:
21.6 - 31.4 N.m (2.2 - 3.2 kgf.m, 15.9 - 23.1 lb.ft)
- Remove the pad return springs (A).
- Remove the brake pads (A).
- Remove the brake pad retainers (A).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.NOTE:
- Use a SST (09581-2T100) when installing the brake caliper assembly.
- Connect air hose (A) to the SST after confirming that the SST valve is securely closed
- Put the SST in the caliper and press the caliper piston while opening the SST valve slowly counter clockwise.
- Close the SST valve (A) and disconnect the air hose (B); then, open the valve again to get the rest of air out and remove the SST from the caliper.
- When installing the brake pads, Handle with care to avoid deformation on the retraction part of the pad spring.
- For the brake pad to locate on the normal operation position, depress the brake pedal halfway several times until the brake pedal gains resistance.
- Use a SST (09581-2T100) when installing the brake caliper assembly.
