Repair Procedures: Replacement

- Use the retrieval/reproduction/charging device to retrieve the refrigerant.WARNING:
- Use the refrigerant retrieval/charge device exclusively used for the electric compressor to inject the designated refrigerant (R-1234yf) and refrigeration oil (POE). If the refrigeration oil (PAG) for the ordinary car is injected, the compressor may be damaged or a safety-related accident may occur.
- Remove the battery (-) terminal.
- Remove the front bumper assembly.

- Remove the front bumper beam assembly.
(Refer to Body - "FRONT BUMPER BEAM ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the Charge port.
(Refer to Battery Control System - "CHARGE PORT ")
- Remove the connector and wiring.
- Press the lock pin to separate the active air flpa connector (A).
- Unfasten the mounting bolt and remove the active air flap assembly (A).
- Unfasten the mounting bolts and remove the condenser cover (A).
- Unfasten the mounting bolts and remove the condenser (A).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.NOTE:
- When a new condenser is installed, replenish the compressor oil (POE oil).
- Replace the O-ring of each connection part with a new one, and apply several drops of compressor oil (refrigeration oil) on the O-ring before connecting the hose or line. Use a specified O-ring to prevent R-1234yf leakage.
- Be careful not to give an impact on the radiator and the condenser pin when mounting the condenser.
- Charge the system and test the air conditioning performance.
