Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Remove the battery (-) terminal.
  2. Use the retrieval/reproduction/charging device to retrieve the refrigerant.
    WARNING:
    • Use the refrigerant retrieval/charge device exclusively used for the electric compressor to inject the designated refrigerant (R-1234yf) and refrigeration oil (POE). If the refrigeration oil (PAG) for the ordinary car is injected, the compressor may be damaged or a safety-related accident may occur.
  3. Remove the refrigerant direction control valve cover (A).

  4. Press the lock pin to separate the various refrigerant direction control valve connector (A).

  5. Unfasten the mounting nuts and remove the various refrigerant line (A).

    Tightening Torque: 

    9.8 - 14.7 Nm (1.0 - 1.5 kgf.m, 7.2 - 10.8 lb.ft)

  6. Unfasten the mounting nuts & bolts and remove the refrigerant direction control valve (A).

    Tightening Torque: 

    7.8 - 11.8 Nm (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
