Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Remove the battery (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the crash pad, heater, and blower unit from the vehicle.

    (Refer to Heater - "HEATER UNIT ")

  3. Unfasten the mounting screws and remove inner condenser cover (A).

  4. Remove the inner condenser (A) from the heater unit.

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    NOTE:
    • When a new interior condenser is installed, replenish the compressor oil.
    • Replace the O-ring of each connection part with a new one, and apply several drops of compressor oil (refrigeration oil) on the O-ring before connecting.
    • Use an appropriate O-ring to prevent R-1234yf leakage.
    • Do not spill the coolant on the vehicle. The compressor oil may damage the paint. If the compressor oil is spilled on the paint, wipe away the oil immediately.
    • Prevent any air leak of the system.
    • Charge the system and test the air conditioning performance.
