Removal and Installation
- Disconnect battery negative terminal.
- Remove the LH luggage side trim.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior - "LUGGAGE SIDE TRIM ")
- Disconnect the ECS control unit connector (A).
- Remove the ECS ECU (B) by loosening the nuts (A).
Tightening torque:
3.6 - 4.0 N.m (0.37 - 0.41 kgf.m, 2.7 - 3.0 lb.ft, 32.1 - 35.6 lb.in)
- Remove the ECS ECU (B) and bracket (C) by loosening the nuts (A).
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 10.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.0 lb.ft)
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Perform the "ECS Variant Coding" by KDS following in the order below.
- Connect self-diagnosis connector (16pins) located under the driver side crash pad to self-diagnosis device, and then turn the self-diagnosis device after key is ON.
- Select the "vehicle model" and "ECS" on KDS vehicle selection screen.
- Select the "ECS Variant Coding" on KDS screen, then select OK.
- Proceed with the test according to the screen instructions.
