DTC P106C-14: P Output Signal Error - Circuit Short to Ground or Open: General Description

The Shift by wire Control Unit (SCU) receives an operating signal from the Shift By Wire (SBW) and controls the Shift By Wire (SBW) actuator. The Shift by wire Control Unit (SCU) transmits the signal (P/R/N/D) received from the position sensor of the Shift By Wire (SBW) actuator to the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
