Open & Short Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect FPCV connector.
  3. Ignition "ON".
  4. Measure voltage between Pin No. 2 (high) terminal of FPCV harness connector and chassis ground.
  5. Measure voltage between Pin No. 1 (low) terminal of FPCV harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  High Approx. 4.4V, Low Approx. 0.8V

  6. Ignition "OFF".
  7. Disconnect ECM connector.
  8. Measure resistance between Pin No. 2 (high) terminal and Pin No. 1 (low) terminal of the FPCV harness connector.

    Specification:  ∞ (infinity)Ω

  9. Is the measured value within specifications?

    YES 

    NO
