Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Information 

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the front seat assembly (both sides).

    (Refer to Front Seat - "FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY ")

  3. Remove the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to Floor Console - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")

  4. Remove the cluster fascia panel.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "CLUSTER FASCIA PANEL ")

  5. Remove the instrument cluster.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ")

  6. Remove the crash pad center panel.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD CENTER PANEL ")

  7. Remove the Head up display (HUD) unit.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "HEAD UP DISPLAY SYSTEM ")

  8. Remove the front midrange speaker.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "SPEAKER ")

  9. Remove the crash pad center speaker.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "SPEAKER ")

  10. Remove the knee airbag.

    (Refer to Restraint - "KNEE AIRBAG (KAB) MODULE ")

  11. Remove the front pillar trim.

    (Refer to Interior Trim - "FRONT PILLAR TRIM ")

  12. Remove the steering wheel.

    (Refer to Steering System - "STEERING WHEEL ")

  13. Remove the smart key antenna panel (B) after disconnecting the connector (A) and screws.

  14. Separate the crash pad side switch (A) after loosening the screws.

  15. Remove the crash pad side switch after disconnecting the connector (A).

  16. Remove the air vent duct [LH] (A) after loosening the screw.

  17. Loosen the mounting bolts (A).

  18. Separate the main crash pad assembly (A) after loosening the mounting bolts & nuts.

  19. Disconnect the passenger airbag connector (A).

  20. Install in the reverse order of removal.

    Information 

    • Make sure that the connectors are connected properly.
    • Replace any damaged clips.
