Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Information
- Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
- Be careful not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the front seat assembly (both sides).
(Refer to Front Seat - "FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Floor Console - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the cluster fascia panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "CLUSTER FASCIA PANEL ")
- Remove the instrument cluster.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ")
- Remove the crash pad center panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD CENTER PANEL ")
- Remove the Head up display (HUD) unit.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "HEAD UP DISPLAY SYSTEM ")
- Remove the front midrange speaker.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "SPEAKER ")
- Remove the crash pad center speaker.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "SPEAKER ")
- Remove the knee airbag.
(Refer to Restraint - "KNEE AIRBAG (KAB) MODULE ")
- Remove the front pillar trim.
(Refer to Interior Trim - "FRONT PILLAR TRIM ")
- Remove the steering wheel.
(Refer to Steering System - "STEERING WHEEL ")
- Remove the smart key antenna panel (B) after disconnecting the connector (A) and screws.
- Separate the crash pad side switch (A) after loosening the screws.
- Remove the crash pad side switch after disconnecting the connector (A).
- Remove the air vent duct [LH] (A) after loosening the screw.
- Loosen the mounting bolts (A).
- Separate the main crash pad assembly (A) after loosening the mounting bolts & nuts.
- Disconnect the passenger airbag connector (A).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure that the connectors are connected properly.
- Replace any damaged clips.
