Repair Procedures: Installation
- Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for at least thirty seconds before beginning to work.
- Tighten the SRSCM mounting bolt and nuts by installing the SRSCM.
Tightening torque:
9.4 - 13.5 N.m (1.0 - 1.4 kgf.m, 7.2 - 10.1 lb-ft)
- Connect the SRSCM harness connector.
- Install the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")
- Reconnect the negative battery cable.
- After installing the SRSCM, confirm proper system operation:
Switch ON the ignition. The SRS indicator light should turn on for about six seconds and then off.
