DTC Description

The PCM monitors variations between the measured (actual) intake air temperature, and the calculated intake air temperature after an engine OFF and a calibrated soak period (typically 6 - 8 hours). This soak period allows the IATS and other temperature sensors to stabilize and not differ by greater than set calibrated values.

The PCM monitors the Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IATS) circuit for erratic voltage signals. If the PCM detects voltage signals exceed the threshold value, the PCM sets DTC P0111.
