Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least thirty seconds before beginning to work.
  3. Remove the floor console.

    (Refer to Body - "FLOOR CONSOLE ")

  4. Remove the rear air vent duct (A).

  5. Pull up the lock of the SRSCM connector, and then disconnect the connector (A).

  6. Remove three (3) SRSCM mounting bolts from the SRSCM, and then remove the SRSCM.
    CAUTION: You must remove or install SRSCM or other SRS components with the ignition switch OFF to avoid accidental airbag deployment.
