DTC B1216-00: Rear Center Right Sensor Fault: General Description

The Parking Assist System (PAS) is an electronic driving aid that warns driver of surrounding obstacles when they are parking. PAS consists of 8 (Front: 4, Rear: 4) sensors which uses ultrasonic waves to detect obstacles and sends signal via LIN communication to BCM. The BCM receives signals from PAS sensors and operate buzzer and/or transmits data to instrument cluster for display.
