CAN Signal Inspection

  1. Connect all unit/module's connector.
  2. Ignition "ON", Engine "OFF".
  3. Perform "Oscilloscope" procedure.
  4. Measure the signal waveform between "P_CAN High" terminal (PIN No. 13) of GATEWAY harness connector and chassis ground.
  5. Measure the signal waveform between "P_CAN LOW" terminal (PIN No. 14) of GATEWAY harness connector and chassis ground.

  6. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    • Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
    • Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
