DTC C1702-46: Variant Coding Error: General Description

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

The Multi Function Camera (MFC) is designed to warn the driver when the vehicle begins to drift out of its lane (unless a turn signal is on in that direction) on freeways and major roads. MFC uses a video camera module and it detects the road markings ahead and warns the driver if there is a danger of a lane marking being crossed without the turn signal having been activated.

The MFC has limited lane recognition capabilities when it comes to sharp-bending roads, no or faded lane markings, low visibility due to bad weather conditions, low light or sudden change in exterior light condition, sidewalks and other dividing structures along the edge of the lane, or dirty windshield but not only limited to these conditions.
