- Bumper showing too much: Camera angle
- Blinks on start of ignition: Black curtain process for AVN boot spec
- Parking guideline length: Camera location
- Blue screen: Possible camera output defect from AVN, AVM (Possible connector, cable defect)
- AVM misdiagnose cases
- Top view distortion: In-line correction error. Re-correction fixes issue
- Broken image pixel: Incomplete correction due to power OFF during correction process
- Camera screen defect (Top/Front/Rear/Left/Right): Possible camera defect
- Camera system features
- Camera issue (Black screen/Blue screen/Noise/Broken)
Issue Inspection Description Camera issue (Black screen/Blue screen/Noise/Broken) (1) Duplicate issue - Check gear R
- Open/close door
- Test drive to duplicate issue
- Check gear R
(Normal: Camera+ Guide line + warning message)
- Open/close door test
(Duplicate issue at angles)
- Test drive
(Drive impact)
- If issue duplicates, follow steps below
Camera issue (Black screen/Blue screen/Noise/Broken) (2) Search & remove defect factor - Connection
- Damage
- Camera power
- Display signal
- Wiring
*If AVM is installed, also test side doors- Camera connection
- Remove trunk cover and find camera connector
- Connection must be locked in
→ Check display
- Check camera damage
- Remove any dirt on lens
- Damage on lens, cracks → Moist inside camera
- Fault by customer if camera is physically damaged from outside
- Check camera voltage at gear R
- Red line: 6.5V, Black line: GND
- If there is no 6.5V input follow below steps
- Cable
- Power module
- Camera power source
- AVN Direct: AVN → Camera
- AVM: AVM → Camera
Camera issue (Black screen/Blue screen/Noise/Broken) (2) Search & remove defect factor - Connection
- Damage
- Camera power
- Display signal
- Wiring
- Check with other monitor
*If other monitor is not available, replace camera instead
- Use other monitor to test video input
- Yellow line: CVBS video, White: Video GND
- Monitor
/AVN X → AVN defect
- Monitor X/AVN X → Camera defect
- Check camera ↔ AVN wiring
- Camera ↔ AVN Wiring check
- For Pin contact testing, include cable company if available
- Short on wire is common due to driving impact
- Display issue (Display quality/Foggy/Foreign object)
Issue Inspection Description Display issue
(Quality/Foggy/Foreign Object)(1) Duplicate issue - Check gear R
- Duplicate issue by checking gear R
(Normal: Compare with other vehicle)
(2) Search & remove defect factor - Camera status
- Open/close trunk test
- Camera status
- Foreign object
- Damaged coating
- Clean lens using soft cloth
- Open/Close trunk test
(Duplicate at certain angle)
- Lens assembly error caused lens move inside camera → Camera can be foggy
- Parking guideline (Distortion)
Issue Inspection Description Parking guideline issue
(Distortion)(1) Duplicate issue - Use parking guideline to test parking
- Use parking guideline to test parking
- Check if vehicle direction and guideline is match
- For safety, guideline appears +10cm wider (left/right) than actual vehicle
(2) Search & remove defect factor - Confirm specs
- Camera connection
- Confirm specs
(Normal: Vehicle ↔ guideline within +,-15cm)
- Camera connection
- Check camera bracket
- Check screw status
- Re-connect the screw and re-test
- Reason for15cm deviation: 1. Camera setting deviation 2. Guideline width (Actual area 10cm)
- AVM (Distortion/Broken pixel)
Issue Inspection Description AVM
(Distortion/Broken pixel)(1) Duplicate issue - Use parking guideline to test parking
- Use parking guideline to test parking
