Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Remove the headlamp assembly.

    (Refer to Lighting System - "HEAD LAMPS ")

  2. Remove the ballast (A) by loosening the screws.

    NOTE: Applying with excessive torque to loosen the screw, extra wear may occur on the housing screw boss.
  3. Disconnect the main connector (A) and HID cable (B) from the ballast.

  4. Remove the dust cover (A) by rotating it in the direction of counterclockwise.

  5. Disconnect the bulb connector (A).

  6. Remove the bulb clip (A) by pushing it in the direction of arrow.

  7. Install the bulb (A) into the new headlamp sub assembly after removing it.

    NOTE:
    • Be careful not to scratch the glass part of the bulb when removing or installing it.
    • If the scratch occurred on the bulb, replace it with a new one.
  8. Install the bulb clip (A).

    NOTE: Incompletion of bulb clip installation, unstable lighting may occur during the driving.
  9. Connect the bulb connector (A).

    NOTE: Bad lighting may occur due to poor connection of connector.
  10. Install the dust cover (A) by rotating it in the direction of clockwise.

    NOTE: Poor watertight may occur due to poor installing of dust cover.
  11. Connect the main connector (A) and HID cable (B) from the ballast.

    NOTE: Check the connection state of hooks after connecting the connector and cable.

  12. Install the ballast (A) by tightening the screws.

    NOTE:
    • Applying with excessive torque to tighten the screw, extra wear may occur on the housing screw boss.
    • If excessive wear occurred on the housing screw boss, poor watertight may occur due to poor ballast installing.
  13. Install the headlamp assembly.

    (Refer to Lighting System - "HEAD LAMPS ")

  14. Perform the headlamp aiming procedure.
