Sensor Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF"
  2. Refer to "VARIABLE CHARGE MOTION ACTUATOR (VCMA) " and disconnect VCM connector.
  3. Ignition "ON"
  4. Measure voltage between Pin No. 6 (Power) terminal of VCM harness connector and chassis ground.
  5. Measure voltage between Pin No. 5 (Signal) terminal of VCM harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx. 5V

  6. Ignition "OFF"
  7. Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
  8. Refer to "VARIABLE CHARGE MOTION ACTUATOR (VCMA) " and disconnect VCM connector.
  9. Measure resistance between Pin No. 4 (Ground) terminal and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx. below 1Ω

  10. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO
