DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy Case1
  • Plausibility monitoring (pump delivering low pressure)
  1. Poor Connector Connection
  2. Clogged Fuel Filter
  3. Restricted Fuel Supply Line
  4. Fuel Leakage
  5. Faulty Fuel Pressure Regulator
  6. Faulty Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor
  7. Faulty ECM/PCM
Case2
  • Plausibility monitoring (pump delivering low pressure or over pressure valve defect)
Enable Condition
  • Engine coolant temperature (ECT) is higher than 56°C (132.8°F)
  • Full load not active
  • Catalyst purge not active
  • Fuel trim active
    • No relevant failure
    • Measured tip temperature is higher than 640°C (1184°F)
    • Engine coolant temperature (ECT) is higher than 0°C (32°F)
  • Catalyst overheating prevention not active
  • Leak detection not active (after catalyst heating finished)
  • Engine speed at between 512 RPM and 4000 RPM
  • Mass fuel flow at between 4mg/stroke and 60mg/stroke
  • Volume fuel flow is lower than threshold value
  • Canister load is lower than 0.5
Threshold Value Case1
  • Lambda Controller including adaptive value higher than -15% and lower than 15%
  • Fuel pressure controller higher than 0.08g
Case2
  • Lambda Controller including adaptive value higher than -15% and lower than 15%
  • Fuel pressure controller higher than 0.04g
  • Deviation of fuel pressure setpoint higher than 1.5MPa (15bar/217.5 psi)
Diagnostic Time
  • 8s
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
