Check Knock Sensor

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect knock sensor #1 connector.
  3. Measure resistance between Pin No. 2 (+) Terminal And Pin No. 1 (-) terminal of the knock sensor. (Component Side)

    Specification:  Approx. 3.90 to 5.84MΩ at 25°C (77 °F)

  4. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the knock sensor #1 and go to "Verification Of REPAIR " procedure.
