Monitor KDS/GDS Data

  1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Engine "ON".
  3. Turn the steering wheel all the way to CCW or CW and hold.
  4. Check the "Current Data"  about related DTC with KDS/GDS.

    Specification:  Refer to the specifications in the Fig 1 below)

    A: steering wheel all the way to CCW

    B: steering wheel all the way to CW

  5. Is the measured "Measured Motor Current" within specifications?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and EPS ECU memory is not cleared yet. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

    NO 

    • Go to next procedure.
