Signal Circuit Inspection
- Ignition "OFF".
- Refer to ETC (ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL) SYSTEM and disconnect Throttle Body connector.
- Ignition "ON".
- Measure voltage between Pin No. 4 (TPS1 Signal) terminal of Throttle Body harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. 4 V
- Measure voltage between Pin No. 5 (TPS2 Signal) terminal of Throttle Body harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. 0 V
- Ignition "OFF".
- Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
- Refer to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) and disconnect ECM/PCM connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 4 (TPS1 Signal) terminal of Throttle Body harness connector and Pin No. 100 (TPS1 Signal) terminal of PCM harness connector.
- Measure resistance between Pin No. 5 (TPS2 Signal) terminal of Throttle Body harness connector and Pin No. 80 (TPS2 Signal) terminal of PCM harness connector.
Specification: Approx. below 1 Ω
- Is the measured value within specification?
YES
- Go to "Component Inspection " procedure.
