Repair Procedures: Removal

WARNING:
- Be sure to read and follow the "General Safety Information and Caution" before doing any work related with the high voltage system. Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious electrical injuries.
- Be sure to shut off the high voltage circuit according to the "HIGH VOLTAGE SHUTOFF PROCEDURE " before doing any work related with the high voltage system to avoid serious electrical injuries.
NOTE:
The MCU is integrated into the HPCU that can't be disassembled. So refer to HPCU REMOVAL
OR MCU Installation
"HPCU" for the removal or installation procedure of the MCU.
- Shut off the high voltage circuit.
(Refer to Hybrid Motor System - "HIGH VOLTAGE SHUTOFF PROCEDURE ")
- Drain the coolant of hybrid motor cooling system.
(Refer to Hybrid Motor Cooling System - "COOLANT ")
- Remove the air duct and the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Remove the reservoir by loosening the bolts (B) after separating the hoses (A).
Tightening Torque:
3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb.ft)
- Remove the HPCU cover (A).
Tightening Torque:
3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb.ft)
- Disconnect the motor high voltage cable connector (A) and the HSG high voltage cable connector (B).
- Disconnect the high voltage battery cable connector (A) and the inverter high voltage cable connector (B).
- Disconnect the MCU connector (A).
- separate the coolant outlet hose (A).
- Disconnect the LDC power cable (B) and ground cable (C).
Tightening Torque
(B, C): 3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb.ft)
- Remove the high voltage cable mounting bracket (A).
Tightening Torque:
3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb.ft)
- Remove the HPCU assembly after loosening the bolts (A).
Tightening Torque:
19.6 - 29.4 N.m (2.0 - 3.0 kgf.m, 14.5 - 21.7 lb.ft)
