Monitor KDS/GDS Data

  1. Connect KDS/GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
  2. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
  3. Check the "Current Data"  about related DTC with KDS/GDS.

  4. If the parameter is not similar with shown data, measure related waveforms with KDS/GDS.

    1. CKPS & CMPS (intake side) synchronization - There are about 4 ~ 5 teeth between the CKPS missing tooth and CMPS signal.
  5. Are the parameters displayed correctly?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or PCM's connector or was repaired and PCM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
