Component Inspection
- Refer to appropriate Service Information and remove necessary parts to get access to BCM, SJB (Smart Junction Box), Cluster, and SMK (Smart Key) Unit.
- Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Ignition "ON"
- Disconnect unit connector one after the other.
- Check for control unit causing the fault by communicating BCM, SJB, Cluster and SMK Unit with KDS/GDS.
- Does KDS/GDS able to communicate with any of systems when one unit connector is disconnected?
YES
- Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
- If problem still occurs, replace Control Unit that causing the fault and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
NO
- Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
- Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification Of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
