Monitor KDS/GDS Data

  1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Engine "ON".
  3. Turn the steering wheel all the way to CCW or CW and hold.
  4. Check the "Current Data"  about related DTC with KDS/GDS.

    Specification:  Refer the specifications in Figure below)

    1. steering wheel all the way to CCW
    2. steering wheel all the way to CW
  5. Is the measured "Measured Motor Current" within specifications?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or EPS ECU connector or was repaired and EPS ECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

    NO 

    • Go to next procedure.
