General Information: General Description
In order to make normal activation of airbag system, SRSCM detects DTC (s) for the Passenger side Body Detection System.
If the seat is occupied, Bodysense sensor detects how passenger weighs and send signal to SRSCM via CAN. SRSCM recognizes the signal as 3 (three) different classifications; that is, 0 (Empty), 1 (Small), 2 (Large). With these signal, SRSCM determines whether it needs to deploy PAB (Passenger Airbag) or not.
NOTE:
if any of the following conditions occur, 'Occupant Classification System (WCS, PODS, BOSE) Reset must be performed again after checking OCS Diagnostic Codes.
