Component Inspection

Perform HO2S (S1) Heater Actuation Test 

1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. ENG "RUN"
3. Perform "Actuation Test" for HO2S (S1) Heater.

Inspect HO2S (S1) Heater 

1. IG Key "OFF".
2. Disconnect HO2S (S1) connector.
3. Measure resistance between Pin No. 4 (Power) terminal and Pin No. 5 (Control) terminal of the HO2S (S1) Heater. (Component Side)

   Specification  : Approx. 3.2Ω ± 0.8Ω at 20°C (68°F)

Confirm Part Inspection 

1. Does the HO2S (S1) Heater operate properly? (Check variation)

   YES 

   • Go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.

   NO 

   • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
   • If problem still occurs, replace HO2S (S1) and then go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.
