Description And Operation: Description
This function memorizes the optimized seat position set by the driver into the power seat unit by operating the IMS switch so that the personal setting position of the seat can be restored by IMS switch even when the seat position is changed.
This function prohibits restoration of seat position while driving. Also, it has an emergency stopping of linked motion for safety.
The main functions are as follows.
- Manual operation: Motor control with the seat manual switch
- The position of the seat is changed by operating the motor when the signal is input with manual switch for the seat (Slide, recline, front tilt, rear height adjusting)
- Memory function: Can memorize and reproduce up to two personalized seat positions by using IMS switch.
- The memorized motion (seat and outside mirrors) for the optimal seal position set by the driver based on the CAN data (IMS→DDM) with IMS switch.
- Reproduction by the CAN data received from IMS switch controlling.
- Linked Motion for Vehicle Entering/Exiting
- Function of vehicle entering/exiting linked motion depending on the state of engine ON/OFF.
- Use of IMS CAN data communication
- Condition for operating vehicle Entering: When the electric power is in ACC.
- Condition for operating vehicle Exiting: When the engine is OFF.
- Memorization and Recall of Mirror Position Using Memory Switch
- System Description
- IMS switch inputs are received by Power Seat Module (PSM).
- Receiving the IMS switch inputs, the PSM will send the information to DDM and ADM via CAN communication.
- Receiving the information from the PSM, the DDM and the ADM will memorize and recall it.
- Carry out the memorization and recall operation if the following conditions are met:
- IGN ON
- Gear selected in P (Park) position
- The vehicle speed is "0 km/h" according to the information transmitted from the BCM via CAN communication.
- Save Mirror Position
- Move the mirrors on the sides of driver and passenger seats to desired positions.
- Press the SET switch from IMS switches.
- Press the switch 1 or 2 within the limited time period.
- The mirror positions will be stored in the I MS switch 1 or 2 of the DDM and the ADM.
