Monitor GDS Data

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Cable (DLC).
  2. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
  3. Check the "Current Data" about related DTC with GDS.

    Specification:  Refer to Fig 1

  4. If the parameter is not similar with shown data, measure related waveforms with GDS.

    A: CKPS & CMPS syncronization - There are about 8 teeth between the CKPS missing tooth and CMPS signal.

    B: CKPS & CMPS syncronization - There are about 1 tooth between the CKPS missing tooth and CMPS signal.

  5. Are the parameters displayed correctly?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or PCM's connector or was repaired and PCM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
