Repair Procedures: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the brake fluid level switch connector, and remove the reservoir cap.
  2. Remove the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir with a syringe.
    CAUTION: Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle as it may damage the paint; if brake fluid does contact the paint, wash it off immediately with water.
  3. Remove the wheel & tire.

    Tightening torque: 

    88.3 - 107.9 N.m (9.0 - 11.0 kgf.m, 65.1 - 79.6 lb.ft)

  4. Disconnect the brake hose clip (A).
  5. Loosen the tube flare nut (B) and then disconnect the tube.

    Tightening torque: 

    12.7 - 16.7 N.m (1.3 - 1.7 kgf.m, 9.4 - 12.3 lb.ft)

    Front

  6. Loosen the brake hose bolt (A) from the caliper and then disconnect the hose.
