Repair Procedures: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: Do not turn the ignition switch ON and do not connect the battery cable while replacing the front impact sensor.
  1. Tighten the front impact sensor mounting nut (B) and then connect the front impact sensor (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  2. Install the radiator support upper member (A) after loosening the bolts.

  3. Install the front bumper.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FRONT BUMPER ")

  4. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
  5. After installing the Front Impact Sensor, confirm proper system operation:
    • Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should be turned on for about six seconds and then go off.
